On October 18 and 19, 2022, the COINTT 2022 conference took place in Bratislava, the main thematic focus of which was Simplifying contact between academia and business in technology transfer. At the event, Assoc. Ing. Jakub Berčík, PhD. responsible for the advertising department, as part of a panel discussion entitled "Raising awareness of the emergence of spin-off companies in the academic environment" highlighted non-financial forms of support from the SPU Center in Nitra for start-up entrepreneurs. The fact is that establishing spin-off companies in an academic environment is the least used method of commercializing intellectual property in our conditions. This is largely related to the complexity of the process itself, but other factors that determine this state of affairs were also discussed.
