On October 17, 2024, a professional seminar entitled The Right Tree in the Right Place was held at the Creative Center of SPU. The organizer of the seminar was the Society for Garden and Landscape Design in cooperation with the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering of SPU in Nitra. The seminar focused on the characteristics of the most frequent changes in environmental conditions that have a fundamental impact on the perspective and sustainability of a tree in a location, criteria for selecting trees for an urban environment, qualified selection of trees as a basic planning tool, and types, parameters and quality of tree seedlings for an urban environment. The seminar was conducted under the professional guidance of lecturer Ing. Marcel Raček, PhD., an employee of the Institute of Landscape Architecture at the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering of SPU in Nitra.
